Ok, this time it is for real, because it's from the horse's mouth, which is certainly the most trustworthy orifice on a horse. Bungie.net says that Marathon: Durandal is being brought to XBLA by none other than Mac game developer Freeverse. They have a page on Marathon: Durandal at their site.
It will include single player, eight player cooperative play, and multiplayer.
Eight player coop? Zang!
Coming this fall with Halo 3, MS announced at E3 2007 this Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox, with an appropriate color scheme and matching accessories.
Detailed specifications are not available, but Bungie.net has stated this edition has HDMI, leading to a widespread belief that this console will be similar, if not identical, to the Xbox 360 Elite.
The mysterious "fourth console" that was on stage at the Microsoft press event and then surreptituously removed before it began was the rumored additional Xbox 360 SKU-- it's a special edition of the 360 for Halo 3, with a green and orange color scheme. No word yet on specifications.
UPDATE: Bungie.net's post says the console has HDMI, so possibly the other specs are also the same as the 360 Elite.
The day before the Halo 3 Multiplayer Public Beta throws open its doors to the masses, Bungie pulled out the heavy guns.

Tuesday, September 25, 2007
Because that is the day that Halo 3 will be released.
Thanks for the heads-up to Louis Wu in #hbo.
April 4 2007 Eric Nylund author of the halo books announced that there will be at least 2 more books following ghosts of onyx they will be based on showing exactly what was going on every where else while master chief was off blowing up a covenate sacred ring and disabiling a covenate armada on his way back.
here is my source.
Of course, you didn't think Bungie would just shovel the Multiplayer Public Beta date at you on a post-it note and call it done? No, of course not. So while Bungie.net now has a story that leads with this ultra-salient fact:
The Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta will go live on May 16th at 12:00 AM PDT and run through June 6 th at 11:59 PM PDT.
Think there's already too much Halo merchandise out there? Too bad. Corgi International today announced a partnership with Microsoft to add Halo products to their "Master Replicas" series of collectibles. No word on if they'll call them Master Chief Master Replicas.
