Halo still hasn't gotten more than a token mention in the press event so far, except for Moore's statement that fans should expect something new related to Halo 3 "before the end of the year".
Those of you who thought that behind the closure of the Halogen project, a three-year-long attempt to make an unofficial mod for Command & Conquer Generals, lay a more sinister purpose, your suspicions have been confirmed. Ensemble Studios, creators of Microsoft's real-time strategy series Age of Empires, has announced Halo Wars, a real-time strategy game set in the Halo universe. The game will be developed in collaboration with Bungie and released for the PC and the Xbox 360.
Halogen, an unofficial fan project to create a real-time strategy game in the Halo universe, is shutting down due to a request from Microsoft. From their homepage:
Hours ago, we finally recieved the words we've been dreading since the mod started to get noticed. Microsoft has decided that we are infringing on the intellectual property of Bungie Studios and has asked us to stop development on Halogen.
The site notes that the forum and other areas will be shut down within a week.
... and to Windows and Linux as well. Appleswitch at Source.bungie.org reports that a Mac OS X conversion of the Marathon sequel scenario Rubicon, appropriately called Marathon: Rubicon X, has been released. It requires the latest version of the cross-platform Aleph One engine. Rubicon was originally released in 2001. The X conversion features new high resolution art as well as new and updated maps.
I have been looking all over the web these days. Not just for sheet music for POTC, but for something else. Search enginges barely do good these days. You must pay money (usually) to have your site appear when a tag is typed in. So I looked the old fashioned way; looking. Few websites that deem themselves "Halo encyclopedias" are just that. It took about an hour. not to easy. But I found it. The script of Halo 3 (or,not script) is long. Very long. I took me two hours to read it, and doesn't battle. It's just the cutscene scripts.

A couple of weeks ago i came up with an idea. "why don't i write my own book that will incorporate the ideas of hardcore Halo fans?"

Ok everybody, most blogs are about the relations to the bible. There are also an alarming amount of relations to Greek stuff too. Here is a list:
Chi (as in Chi Ceti from the books) is a Greek Letter
Tau (as in Tau Ceti from the books) is a Greek Letter
Marathon-class cruisers (marathon was a popular greek sport)
Halycon-class cruisers (from a myth about a woman named Halycone)
Spartans were ferocious Greek warriors
The MAC-Gun Platform Athens was taking position over the Greek capital of Athens
