Blackstar, Narcogen, Freewill, Kermit and others discuss the teaser for Bungie's upcoming sci fi extraction shooter based on the Marathon IP.
I have an extra Destiny Beta code for Xbox 360. PM me here or email narcogen@rampancy.net to claim it!
UPDATE: The code has been claimed.
A good mix of both gameplay and some additional story in Bungie's "New Beginnings" trailer for E3 2014.
Also the first time I think I've seen it explicitly stated (by Peter Dinklage's voiceover here) what I've suspected for awhile here-- that the Traveler was the cause of both humanity's lost golden age and its downfall, and the enemies we face are the enemies of the Traveler, not necessarily the enemies of humanity.
Still, that might not ever become relevant, but it is something I've been thinking about for awhile.
Quickly on the heels of the rumors of a Destiny Beta next year, Bungie resurrects the podcast, releases another trailer, confirms that Beta access will come to all Destiny preorders with participating retailers, and says goodbye to veteran scribe Joe Staten.

After lying dormant for years, Bungie has once again unleashed a "snarling, ferocious beast." Thank goodness for us it is the Bungie Weekly Update and not Luke Smith after all.
(If that could continue to be the case, it'd be great. Thanks.)
Well, I have to say this comes as somewhat of a shocking surprise. Of course Bungie undergoes turnover like any other organization-- the bigger it is, the more churn it has.
Fan community members I've known have gone to work for Bungie. Some have moved on, others are still there. Some Bungie employees, even founders, moved on when the studio was bought by Microsoft. Some moved on when it became independent. For the most part, Bungie maintains the "Bungie Way" even as old faces leave and new ones arrive.
Bungie unveiled a new ViDoc at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany last week. Not a whole lot of new footage or information, but Blackstar and Narcogen take a look and find some interesting things anyway.

Joe Staten and Jason Jones participate in a "public event" against Fallen enemies in the first public demonstration of Destiny gameplay. Destiny portion of the video begins at 2 hours and 3 minutes.
Claude Errera has announced that DBO is now building their Destiny Video Archive. Right now what's there are the two official vids, with more stuff to come.
DestinyHub also took a microscope to the Destiny PS4 Announcement trailer to take a look at what secrets each frame might hold for the final game. Take a look!
