Well, the closer Halo comes to being a reality, the more hopes and dreams are going up in little puffs of smoke.

Thanks again to Louis at HBO, who spotted this before I did-- someone purporting to have had firsthand impressions of Halo's multiplayer modes has posted his opinions of said gameplay on the bulletin board at IGN. The remarks are mostly positive, with the possible exception of dips in the framerate when playing cooperatively.
A neat little feature of the new site system we're testing-- no, it's not running the live site here yet, it's elsewhere-- let us know that Halo.bungie.org had just posted an update, and here's what Louis spotted: the fourth part of PlanetXbox's Halo Developer diary by none other than the illustrious Jaime Griesemer (aka Flawless Cowboy aka Case).
The collection of third party worlds is now available at a retail store near you.
Since Take 2 acquired rights to Bungie's Myth collection, a couple of retail products have hit the stores that glorify the series. The first, Green Berets, was a blah blah. Most recently released is Myth II: Worlds, which blah blah. Check this one out.
Okay, true believers... before you click the link to read GameSpot UK's preview of a nearly complete copy of Halo, decide how much you really want to know before you play the game for yourself. While the revelations aren't completely new or startling, some people probably don't want to know any more about the backstory than they already do... so if you're in that part of the pack, you've been forewarned.
Yes, there was a conscious effort to make the headline rhyme. Hell, I just did it again by accident. I'm that good.
Thanks to Troll for pointing out that myth3.godgames.com has received a facelift. In the new screenshots section, there is a neat picture that I haven't seen before, although it may be old. In any case, the new site layout is very welcome and is an improvement over the original.
EB has assembled a product page for Myth II: Worlds, which includes an image of its box art. In case you haven't heard about it, Myth II: Worlds is described like so:
FiringSquad, the gaming site started by Dennis Thresh Fong of Quake fame, has put together a daunting article examining the Xbox's hardware, comparing it not only to the PC architecture it owes its origins to, but also to that of the consoles it will compete against, the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo GameCube. There are far too many detailed points to mention them all here.
We spotted these two items on Blue's News; between them and the mention of the Cortana screenshot, that site was practically bursting with Bungie news the other day.
