Marathon Resurrection Beta 1.1
Subnova has reported that Marathon Resurrection is now at beta 1.1. Marathon Resurrection is a Marathon -> Unreal Tournament total conversion that has been under way for nearly two years now, which saw its initial public release a few months ago and was quite strongly welcomed by die-hard Marathoners. In the new release, two new game modes have been added: King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch. Check out the Marathon Resurrection website for download details.

Well, I've just gotten the news from Fractalus. The box won't be back up to snuff until Monday, now, as he couldn't finish the job before getting on the plane to New York. (He had a prior commitment to attend to) He'll be back in Florida come Monday to get things squared away.Hrm... Florida... New York...anthrax.... Naaaaah!
IMG Previews Myth III
Michael Yanovich of Inside Mac Games has previewed Myth III after playing it for a 14 hour period. The response is overwhelmingly positive; Yanovich describes Myth III as the best parts of Myth I and II on steroids . He describes the single player scenario as 'varied', 'strong', and 'solid'. In the portion of the article that details stand-out moments, it confirms that Mumbo Jumbo has reintroduced carpet bombing into the Myth series. Very cool!
Myth III Release Candidate
Check out Andrew Meggs' .plan. He quite simply states:
Two word: release candidate .
This means that it's very soon almost close done for Myth III. It actually looks like Mumbo Jumbo will hit its original release date: November 2001.

Kudos to MythVillage, who spotted a cool addition over at GameWallpapers.com. Head over and you will find Myth III's box art available in four different resolutions. Looks pretty cool; although, the wallpaper is absent of the Myth III logo.

Welcome to Rampancy Beta
Well, if you've gotten this far you've probably already seen somewhere else that the live rampancy.net site has had a hardware failure. We hope to have it operating again soon.
In the meantime, take the time for an early peek at our new site system. We'll be posting our news items here for the time being, and the forums (while mostly empty) should be fully functional.

ActiveXbox site claims Microsoft confirms change
Ok, bear with us while we follow the breadcrumbs on this one.
Ramses II posted an the halo.bungie.org forum about this story he saw at Shacknews about the Xbox's specs dropping again.
Shacknews posted a link to an Xbox news site called ActiveXbox (clever, eh?) where someone named Byron Hinson had this to say today:
Updated: Just recieved confirmation from Microsoft's XBox PR group that the spec is now officially 8GBs.
The original spec for the Xbox's HD was 10GB. But... we thought these things were already being manufactured in Guadalajara, Mexico...
