Meggs' .plan Update
Kudos to MWA for spotting Andrew Meggs' .plan update. Although Myth III plays a tiny part in this update, it is still an interesting read, as it mainly focuses on the recently-released Mac OS 10.1.

Matt sent this week's Halo update to Battleground:Halo. The only significant news is that the game is now at release candidate 2, and to flesh out the week, he threw in this screenshot of Cortana. Enjoy!
There hasn't been much discussion of it here at Rampancy, where recent threads have focused more on the recent disasters in New York and Washington, DC as well as the relative sociopolitical merits of certain theistic and nontheistic belief systems. But over in the Halo.bungie.org forum everyone's been up in arms about the recent confirmation that in addition to having no Internet play at launch, Halo also won't be able to substitute computer-controlled enemies in multiplayer game types.

The Mumbo Jumbo website has updated with a new and more professional look. You can now see personal bios of the members of the team if that sort of thing interests you or you could just browse the website, which is much more organized. On the front page, it says that we can expect to see more news and a playable demo in the weeks ahead for Myth III.
Myth Village has just posted examples and the format of the personal decals available in Myth III. The game will allow you to create your own 64x64 icon that will be placed on many of your units making them easier to see in battle and overall just making them look really cool. A template file is available for those who want to get a jumpstart. Check it out.
There's been an ongoing discussion in the Halo.bungie.org forum about an item in the last update about Covenant units in Halo that would self-destruct upon dying, making killing them dangerous. Some sought to find links between similar suicide units in other Bungie games, like the Wight from Myth and the Assimilated Bobs in Marathon.
No monkey-punching necessary; if you can guess Ancrik's birthday, you win $10! Jeffery Blake wrote to let us know about the upcoming Ancrik Birthday Bash Tournament:
Chief Xbox officer Robbie Bach has told PlanetXbox that his console is the one worth waiting for.
He better hope he's right.
As posted by Rauko in our forum, the release of Microsoft's console is being delayed a week. The new release date is November 15, 2001.
Well, it seems while I slept the blissful slumber of the terminally unaware, a couple of bombshells dropped in the Halo universe.
The first was expected: Matt's latest update at Bungie.org. Really not too much here except some praise all around for the good work done by The Bear , Marty, and everyone else. However, there were some hints about easter eggs:
