We spotted these two items on Blue's News; between them and the mention of the Cortana screenshot, that site was practically bursting with Bungie news the other day.
First up, HomeLan Federation has an interview with Scott Campbell and Mike Donges of Mumbo Jumbo, developers of the upcoming Myth prequel, Myth 3: The Wolf Age. This excerpt will be most interesting for those looking forward to playing the new title:
HomeLAN - Currently the plan is to release the game in October, which is a rather quick development time since Myth III reportedly began production in November 2000. Has it been hard to create a game as complex as Myth III in such a short amount of time?Next up, Media and Games Online Network (MGON) has a preview of Myth 3; they were especially impressed with the new graphics:Scott Campbell and Mike Donges - I would be lying if I said itТs been a cakewalk. WeТve really fought against the deadline here, and weТre all pretty amazed that weТre still on schedule.
The spell effects are also absolutely stunning with swirling shafts of light and glowing colours. One of the coolest effects even brings into being a miniature tornado which swirls around the target area hitting enemies with the debris swept up from the battlefield. This looks a lot like a massive food processor as limbs, weapons and other objects smash into the enemy ranks causing much havoc and gaining more mass as enemies fall and become a part of the maelstrom. They also note that dwarves now have a Scottish brogue. I wonder what's up with that...
