Baby Chief and Mister Chief are getting a little lost in the latest Halo Babies comic. Thanks mrsmiley.
In the previous three editions of this series, I have discussed numerous techniques, concepts, and mindsets to aid you in using Banshees to their greatest potential. While it may be that some readers plied this information in single-player mode, in filmmaking, or in other non-competitive arenas, it is certain that the majority of Banshee usage is applied as a means to beat other players, generally in Internet play.
Hellface has posted in the Gearbox Forum something that appears to be about the Halo Editing Kit. We're not really sure... but the thrust of it seems to be that there may (or may not) be something good going on, but if there is, and they aren't SURE it's going on, they aren't going to tell us. The moderators might (or might not) know about it, but if they do, they can't tell anyone, and if they do, they're in trouble.
Louis Wu at HBO has announced the winners of the Date With One One Se7en contest that challenged forumgoers to use the automagic strip generator to finish the a joke. You can see the winners and runners-up as well.
Several stories around the web the last few days (XboxSolution, CNN have mentioned the resignation of Take Two's CEO, Jeffrey C. Lapin, and the subsequent revision of financial estimates for the second quarter and year-end results for 2004. Lapin had the CEO job for only one year and three months.
SketchFactor has posted up two new goodies at the new Bungie.net. (I wonder when we're going to be able to stop calling it the new Bungie.net and go back to just calling it Bungie.net.) The first is a render of a Helljumper, or ODST, and the second is a wallpaper of 343 Guilty Spark.
Maxmidget in the HBO forum noticed a flurry of activity at IGN over Halo recently. After coverage of the new Bungie.net site, their mailbag feature included a fan letter criticizing Halo, which has now spawned a special Halo mailbag feature with fans of the game writing in to defend it.
Does a game with as many awards, accolades and sales as Halo need to be defended? Perhaps not, but that isn't stopping anyone.
Frank "Frankie" O'Connor and Brian "SketchFactor" Jarrard of Bungie have been interviewed by César "Cesar" A. Berardini at TeamXbox. Among the highlights: Frankie plays Halo on his Titanium Powerbook from the toilet. No kidding. I thought only I did that.
Thanks Louis Wu at HBO for the heads-up.
Preston Cyberdog found and Louis Wu posted an apparently poorly-hidden feature of the new Bungie.net site that offers to help you out if it looks like you don't know what you're doing.
MonoxideC has announced the release of Halo Map Tools 3.5, featuring model injections, single player to multiplayer conversion utilities, and tutorials as well. Check it out at HaloMods.
Gary "Dolbex" Williams of Been Mawed and Halo50k3.com is announcing a new Halo tournament, Halo50k3, will be held on July 24 and 25, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia, and will be presented by Major League Gaming.
According to their press release, these are the tournament details:
Louis Wu at HBO notes that the submission period for the Win A Date With One One Se7en contest is now over; there were 3500 entries that now need to be narrowed down to 5 Halo 2 calendar winners by Wednesday. Wow.
...and MasterNeoChief is their instrument, making this mod where you play as an Elite, eliminating UNSC forces. Get it over at HaloMods. Thanks Louis Wu at HBO.
Dolbex got to see the Nightmare Armor guys up close and personal and wrote all about his Adventure at Nightmare Armor over at Been Mawed.
