Hey everybody,
I am new here (they call me "teh noobster") and I would like to say hi!
In addition to the new Halo Babies strip, Gruntsbane has done five new strip backgrounds for use in making fan Halo Babies strips. There's also a video documenting mrsmiley's trip to MLG.
BlackOps has posted in the Gearbox HaloCE forum about a modification that he and some associates have made to an Unreal Tournament 2003 statistics program. Now this statistics package works with Halo server logs if you have FTP access to the logs themselves.
The Red vs Blue website has been updated with news of the availability of Trocadero's first album on CD (is that an oxymoron?) It's called, appropriately enough, Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue.
The CD contains all the music from the Red vs Blue series, and you can buy it now in their online store.
More transcriptions of Halo music today from Poop Scoop: The Maw, On A Pale Horse, and Halo: Master and Chief. Each containins a MIDI file of the score, the PDF files and a Finale Printmusic! file of the score that can be edited if people have the software. (Note: Halo: Master and Chief is by Justin R.
I've been fairly bored over the summer, so ive put together a roundup of my work on transcribing, and this time ive done more than just send u a bunch of PDF files. In addition to the PDFs, i've included the accual file (Printmusic! 2004 format) and a MIDI that people can listen to and get a general feel for the transcription, as well as for use on ringtones.
Halo Babies has a new strip up, writes mrsmiley, and they've also announced the winners of their avatar contest.
Halo Mac Development wants to know which Halo Custom Edition maps you want ported for use with Mac Halo. They are only doing one at a time because conversions are complex, and to ensure that people can find servers to play on.
The third part of skeifer's series of articles on realism in Halo has gone up at The Junkyard. This one kicks off with Truth & Reconciliation; Silent Cartographer will be in the next installment.
Verdafolio at demented puppy dot com has posted the rules of engagement for the upcoming When Pigs Fly warthog launching contest. Winners will get signed artwork from community regulars like Shishka, Boxer, Stuntmutt, Dogsounds, Warbow and Blackstar.
bobindashadows has posted over at Halo Mac Development that after a couple of weeks of work, he has successfully converted a map created for Halo CE, in this case the desert island map by ZexGX to work with Halo for the Mac.
Five screenshots accompany the story, showing ZexGX's map clearly running in Aqua windows.
There's a new blog entry by Dana, the mysterious "killer" of the I Love Bees alternate reality game, where several AIs from the Halo universe somehow entered our world and are trying to escape through the website of a small honey business.
In it, she's being shown the back room of a Chinese Internet cafe where all the bootleg DVDs are. Perhaps ILB is really a collaborative project with the RIAA, to encourage fans not to pirate Halo?
