PC Pro has an article paraphrasing Chief Xbox officer Robbie Bach as saying he believes the Xbox 2 can beat out Sony's upcoming PlayStation 3, possibly even in the Japanese market.

What The HEK Is That
TURBO in the #HBO IRC channel pointed out the new Halo Editing Kit screenshot over at Cortana.org. It appears to be showing what we can only assume is shot of a Halo level being edited in 3ds Max.

Lower Xbox Prices Hit The Street
The previously mentioned $30 drop in the retail price of Microsoft's Xbox takes effect in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday, March 30, according to News.com. There's no mention of any price change for Halo. Analysts are already speculating about whether Sony will also cut the price of the PlayStation 2, and about whether or not this cut is deep enough to spur additional Xbox sales.
Personally, I think the biggest boost that Xbox sales will get this year will be the released of Halo 2 and possibly Fable.
New Toys And Other Schwag At Cortana.org
Cortana.org has pointed out a sneak peek at Halo 2 toys from Joyride, as well as a Bungie T-shirt and other items in their April Giveaway.
Boning Up On New Marathon Models
This news is a bit old, but we missed it the first time around, so here goes.
Loren Petrich has said if there's interest, he will modify the MML (that's Marathon Markup Language) used in Aleph One (the open source version of the Marathon engine) to support models made by a program called DimAnimator.
The reason? Spnkrghol has been cooking up some great models for use in Aleph One.
Leave No Loose End Untied
Halo beat GoldenEye for the second time in the Gamespy Title Fight to claim lordship over the Abandoned Base bracket. Both games got fewer votes this time around, but Halo received almost 1500 fewer than in its first round victory over Bond, and GoldenEye got about 400 fewer. Looks like there was much less urgency felt by Halo fans everywhere over this matchup. Next up: Half-Life on April 1.
