SpartanII dropped a message at the Junkyard forums mentioning a new project he's working on (and soliciting the community's help for); he's creating a Halo-themed mod for Tribes 2 called Zero: Stolen Property. An intriguing concept. An early site for the project is up.
The Warthog Jump refuses to die.
A contest that the Official Xbox Magazine sponsored has drawn in a boatload of fan-submitted Warthog-jumping videos, which have been collected and now, digitized. And we've mirrored it, just because we love you so much.
It includes a lot of traditional stuff, some of it well-done, some not, and a few truly spectacular stunts. Noted at HBO.
theRanger sent us word that TeamXbox has a new Halo 2 preview up that features some of the newly released screenshots.
Bungie.net's got an interview with the redoubtable Mat Noguchi, Bungie tools programmer and behind-the-scenes guy. It sheds all sorts of light on things that should be of interest to any fan; check it out.
GameSpot has posted a whole batch of new Halo 2 screenshots. Some appear to be screenshots from the Halo 2 trailer, but there are also quite a few totally new ones. You'll see some nice captures of the Warthog and Master Chief (still no action shots).
In a preview of sorts, Gamesradar has released a medium-sized article revealing some tantalizing Halo 2 facts, quotes, and screens. More is available if you grab a copy of Edge Magazine's latest issue (lots more), but this serves as a pleasant interlude if you don't bother hitting the news stands.
HBO supplied the link.
Today is the 20th anniversary of the online emoticon, also known as the smilie - born by Scott Fahlman on a CMU bulletin board.
:-)
The gaming website Computer and Video Games has written up something vaguely resembling a Halo 2 preview. Nobody's quite sure where they got their information, or how valid it is, but it's worth reading.
Hat tip to The Junkyard.
