Matt Soell over at bungie.net has answered a few questions they have been receiving about the upcoming Halo launch party. You had better head over and read the details if you plan on attending because Bungie needs to know who is going as soon as possible so that they can prepare for the event.
Halo: The Fall Of Reach by Eric Nylund is now available in book stores.
Of course, you can order it online from Amazon.com or your favorite online store.
Louis Wu over at HBO has posted a notice about a German language Halo site called Halomedia. Nartin Spitzenberg gave him the heads-up. They're still using E3 2000 vintage Fishin' Bob in their nameplate, but the design is nice anyway.
They recently had some problems with their news script and also moved to a new provider, preventing them from posting news for awhile; but they assure everyone that they remain online.
In a different post at HBO, Ape Man mentioned that there seem to be some items that indicate a deeper Halo-Marathon connection than just the logo on the side of the Pillar of Autumn as seen in the intro video. Battleground: Halo posted news about a new poll at xbox.ign.com; readers are being asked to rate the 25 hottest games , released or as-yet unreleased. Halo is on the list, along with many other titles for several different platforms, including the PC, Xbox, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance and GameCube (no mention of the Mac).
Well, Andrew Nagy mentioned in an HBO post some ambitious entrepreneur from Atlanta, Georgia has already decided to try and cash in on his Xbox Halo preorder by selling it off on Ebay. From the pitch:
Bounty from Battleground: Halo sent a note to Halo.bungie.org earlier; apparently their site's news script hasn't been accepting submissions since last Thursday, which is why they haven't had any coverage of the recent news out of the Tokyo Game Show.
heh?
Seven giant feet tall it looms large. Four hundred pounds, itТs unmovable. Scarred with stupid magnets, lame kidТs drawings and pointless bits of informational papers. It intimidates me. The motor inside it hums irregularly like something alive. The refrigerator has become old and mean looking from years of abuse.
