The results are in from the Major League Gaming Philly Eastern Regional. Here are the results from the Halo events:

Halo 4 vs. 4 Team Competition:
Devin Olsen has put up a modification of the Blood Gulch level for PC Halo; it features several new base areas, some floating midair, and constructed out of logs. There's a post in the HBO forum where you can get the download details (and a server address where they'll be playing it), and another where you can view some screenshots.
TCLN-Zenn has written a piece on Team Killing in Halo at BGH; it seems to be one of their favorite topics of late. This one is after the new anti-TK features in the 1.03 release.
I think he's on-point on part, but off the mark elsewhere; a full response is in Problem Is Between Chair And Keyboard, the latest of Narc's Retorts.
This isn't new news, but it is something that's gotten stuck in my craw a bit, so I thought I'd go ahead and post about it anyway.

DocOctavius made a nice 3D rendering of the Master Chief, from models and textures extracted from Halo and some freeware rendering tools. He posted it over in the HBO forum and gave us permission to add it to our community art gallery. He promises poseable versions soon.
A few bugs in the 3.0 release needed fixing, so now there's SparkEdit 3.01. Don't spend the .01 all in one place, guys, and check HaloMods for the latest version. There's also a promotional video for the program.
Grenadiac has put up version 3 of the PC Halo level editor SparkEdit up at HaloMods. Also, earlier this month, somehow it escaped our notice that another Halo editing app, HMT, is being ported to the Macintosh at MacHaloMods.
Major League Gaming has sent a reminder that this weekend's Philly Eastern Regional is set to be the biggest US Halo tournament to date with 300 participants and a $16,000 purse.
Over at Bungie.net, SketchFactor has put together an excellent summary of the goings-on at the Halo PC World Championship, the tournament sponsored by iGames beginning last fall and culminating in the showdown on February 17 in Gardena, California. Top honors went to Jonathan "BEAST" Finglass of the UK; Sketch's article contains the final standings for the top 19 players.
th3gh05t has posted at Halo-Source.com that Beta 4.0 of XBconnect is now available. XbConnect allows Xbox users to connect to each other over the Internet and play games that don't support Xbox Live.
Doobie writes that Dustin "Dc80s" Charest and the PS clan are going to hold a Myth: The Fallen Lords tournament next month. Read his post or the tournament page for the complete details on maps and game types.
SketchFactor pointed us through Truth & Reconciliation to a page at iGames where they are summarizing the Halo for Windows Worldwide Final results.
Over in the HBO forum, RunningRiot voiced the common-enough question: why in-game and out-of-game pings to Halo servers often don't match up. Botman from Gearbox stopped in to provide the answer:
Xhzjang has put out Halo No Hud mod v1.5 at HaloMods. It does two things; it takes away the HUD, and it makes the Banshee model invisible while you're in it. It's the perfect mod for making aerial screenshots. Thanks Louis Wu at HBO.
