It Rings A Bell
1Up's latest Halo feature is a retrospective on the Halo series. The teaser on their three weeks of Halo 3 microsite mentions the "Halo/Marathon universe" but there's nary a mention of Marathon there, and as we all know, the two universes are separate anyway. Right?

Ten Things I Like About Halo 2
1. MC's in it.
Halo 2 just wouldn't be the same without him.
2. Great Storyline
How do they come up with this stuff?
3. Killer Graphics
They're the best I've seen, yet.
4. New Things
You can jack stuff
New Multiplayer maps
Etc.
5. The Characters
It is a lot of fun playing the Arbiter as well as the Master Cheif.
6. The Suspense
You never know what will happen next until you have completed the game. There are so many twists and turns!

Gravemind wrote up an extensively compendious piece on the Halo franchise, posted it on GeoCities, then linked it in the HBO Forum, with predictable results. When HBO front-paged it the next day, the site quickly exceeded its bandwidth quota. HBO had a mirror up by that time, with simplified HTML for quicker loading.
