1. MC's in it.
Halo 2 just wouldn't be the same without him.

2. Great Storyline
How do they come up with this stuff?

3. Killer Graphics
They're the best I've seen, yet.

4. New Things
You can jack stuff
New Multiplayer maps
Etc.

5. The Characters
It is a lot of fun playing the Arbiter as well as the Master Cheif.

6. The Suspense
You never know what will happen next until you have completed the game. There are so many twists and turns!

7. The Music
My goodness it's awesome! The composer is a genius!

8. Cutscenes
They're a work of art.

9. The Vehicles
They are way better than those in Halo: Combat Evolved.

10. Transportation
It is soooo fun using the grav. lifts in High Charity and using the pistons in Sacred Icon.

Don't think we'll have to worry about that, looks like he's in it.

From what I can tell, extensive reading of Bulfinch's Mythology and classic science fiction.

"Graphics" is a technological bar that moves every year. However, I'd argue that while Bungie has not always been, and of course will not remain long, on the bleeding edge of graphics technology, their games usually have a comprehensive artistic vision, which many other games do not always have. Compare, say, Marathon to Doom on that score.

Impossible to argue there.

Or there.

I could have done without those, but at least I felt with Sacred Icon that Bungie was trying to put a different spin on the labyrinth idea than they did with The Library.

A Library-esque level in Halo 3 would be nice IMO. It was one of my favouritre levels, had a real creepy and old skool feel to it, wandering from dark corridor (well, large corridors) to corridor with monsters jumping at you. Halo 2 didn't have defined levels like Halo. All the levels in H2 are expansive and are differing in location, but the objectives are always the same, "get from point A to B and kill everyone along the way". in H1 felt more defined, there was the "where the hell am I, rescue survivors and find out what this place is " with 'Halo', the "open" beach assault on 'The Silent Cartographer' , the Library's dark, cramped gaunlet run, and 'The Maws' race aginst the clock. What I'm saying is, Halo 2's levels are samey in design and objective, while Halo 1 had quite a bit of variation which made it unique.

If you think Halo 2 has "killer" graphics, then you must be crazy. It was probably the best back when it was made, but now? No. Ever seen the game Oblivian? Once you look at that then you can tell me which one has killer graphics. And if thats the best you've seen yet, then, well, lets just say there is much better graphics than that. Sorry, if I'm rude, but it's true.

"This is Spartan 117. Can anyone here me?" "Isolate that signal. Master Chief, do you mind telling me what your doing on that ship?" "Sir, finishing this fight."

In reply to: Killer Graphics... Wait a second, I think I heard you wrong

A game's graphics do not decrease in quality over time. Just because newer games with improved capabilities are released does not make an older game's graphics bad.

The only valid comparison is one against contemporary games. So it's still entirely valid to say that Halo 2's graphics are "killer" if one feels that way.

Yeah, but he says they're the best he's seen yet. I still think that's weird.

In reply to: Yeah, but...

Well, I don't think there are many games on the Xbox 1 that look much better. And not everbody has a 360 yet.

I don't. And I'm not a PC gamer.

I don't have an Xbox 360 either, but I've seen and heard much about other games and they have way better graphics than Halo 2. Not saying Halo 2 graphics are bad, and I'm not saying that the person who said it had killer graphics is an idiot, but there ARE games with better graphics.
