Kudos to VJ for finding the announcement that Macintosh legends MacSoft will publish Myth III for the Mac. Along with this annoucenement, MacSoft has other plans:
VoodooExtreme has reviewed Oni, giving it a 74% overall. Their final say:
Straight from bungie.net:
InsideMacGames has just placed a feature on music in video games, which includes an interview with Marty O'Donnell of Total Audio. O'Donnell gives his thoughts on the current state of music in games, the industry, and how he envisioned it to be by 2001 and how it is. O'Donnell worked on the Oni and Myth soundtracks, so it's interesting to see his perspective.
Found a blurb at MacGamer that points to an interview with Bungie's Matt Soell (he of Matt's Weekly Update fame). Dane Baker asks a good and lengthy set of questions about HALO, such as:
While we wouldn't call it exhaustive , Macintosh news site Go2Mac has given Bungie's latest game to date, Oni, a hearty thumbs up.
From the review:
Oni by God Games and Bungie Software is a action/adventure tour-de-force. In Japanese, Oni means demon or ghost. You play Konoko, a wild, purple-haired action babe (think Japanese Jessica Alba) who goes around kicking butt and looks great while doing it.
Kudos to Maestro for locating an article about game testing by CNN. The article gives a brief history of Creamer, the man in charge of a group of five dedicated to squashing HALO's bugs. When talking about testing HALO, third parties respond with their eyes [getting] big , says the team. Yet more proof that people are taking HALO quite seriously.
Despite Forrest of B.org's sleep-deprivation-induced-dementia, he managed to post new Field Guides for Myth 2 at Myth.bungie.org; they now go up to Level 19, The Summoner as well as include updates for The Baron and With Friends Like These . Love those Trow.
There's also a new article in the Delusions category entitled Principia Mythica. Here's what Forrest has to say about it, in summary:
Thanks to our sharp-eyed forumgoers ESiva and Kalis, who noticed the new Halo Update at Battleground: Halo and kindly posted the link. Highlights of this week:
