There are reports all over the Internet of a new HALO movie at XBox.com. I haven't figured out what's going on, but the link doesn't show up for half of the people. In any case, enter this URL in your copy of Windows Media Player and enjoy:
Harry from Oni Central wrote in to let us know that all three movies from FanFestV are now available for download. The list of mirrors is at Bungie.org's E3 coverage page.
You know you want them. Go get them.
Check out Bungie.org's E3 coverage site, as they've added some more images of the HALO booth. There are also four more screenshots and a picture of the upcoming Myth III promotional poster.
Here's something we haven't seen since Daimyo, a retail total conversion based on the Myth II engine. MythVillage is reporting that a company called TalonSoft is developing a game called Myth II: Green Berets and it's being displayed at E3. For $19.95, here's what it'll feature:
Kudos to Myth Village for finding BattleWatch, a service that tracks Myth games. You can add your own game if you'd like, or just join an established game.
It ain't bungie.net, but it's up!
The ill-fated Dreamcast notwithstanding, this year's E3 is witnessing the first serious attempts to bring some of the advantages enjoyed by computer gamers since the commercialization of the Internet-- multiplayer against human opponents, online communities, replayability, and perhaps even user-contributed modifications and scenarios-- to the much larger audiences that play games on dedicated console machines.
XBox.com has posted some pictures from E3. Among them include two pictures of the HALO display. The first shot shows people playing the single player and the second shot shows some eight player multiplayer action.
Somehow, Adrenaline Vault and Inside Mac Games' Myth III screenshots got altered with inappropriate gamma settings. If you want to see the screenshots how they are intended to be seen, check out GameSpot's archive, which hosts the correct versions.
Okay, take this with a healthy helping of salt, since it hasn't been confirmed independently or by anyone at either Bungie or Microsoft... but Rampancy.net reader Der Teufel is reporting that Bungie's own Matt Soell told him Halo's multiplayer on the Xbox will be LAN or split-screen only, at least at first:
