MacCentral has posted an article about Myth III and their impressions at E3. They were surprised at the level of detail shown and the promise of the game. MC also said that it will ship with at least five netmaps and the support for third-party mapping will be strong due to Vengeance, Mumbo Jumbo's new editor. MacSoft, the Macintosh's publisher for Myth III, is aiming for a 400 MHz and Rage 128 as the minimum system requirements.
IGN XBox played a load of HALO at E3 and were quite impressed with it. They did notice some graphical glitches:
If you want to download that streaming HALO video from XBox.com for future viewing, you can do so at FilePlanet.
Thanks, Per.
The controversial retail TC, Myth II: Green Berets, has finally shown itself to the world. AVault has three screenshots posted of actual gameplay. The unit detail is pretty nice and the models look good. This definitely sheds new light on the situation.
GameSpot posted ten HALO videos taken on May 16, which was the first day of E3 (press only). Check 'em out. You'll need either Real Player or Windows Media Player (both available for Mac and PC) to view them.
MacGamer had a little chat with Bungie at E3 about HALO and its status as a computer game. They've basically re-enforced the fact that HALO for the XBox is their primary focus and that computer versions would follow once the XBox's is complete. David Candland said, portability isn't an issue. The xBox unlike the Cube or PS2 is easy to do (porting Halo). However, all of the information offered might not be as good as we had hoped.
The MythVillage has dug up some more information in regards to the recently announced retail TC for Myth II, Green Berets. Here's what they found:
The folks at MacGamer had much praise to offer for Myth III. Apparently, they were appalled at its quality.
GameSpot has put up First Impression: Myth III, which tells a bit about its solo play and current stage of development. They say there will be 42 units in total and that the Trow now stands at three times that of normal units. They also boast the terrain detail as well as the awesome unit shadows that are displayed. Overall, it sounds like they were impressed with what they saw. Here's to hoping that a Myth III video hits the 'net soon.
