Straight from bungie.net:
While some doomsayers may posit that today's disappearance of Myth II's Bungie.net facilities is a sure sign of the end of Bungie.net, and all that that entails, I am here to bring you tidings of great joy.Myth II's Bungie.net became inaccessible today as a result of a DNS failure. The bad news is that we don't know when this DNS will come back online. The good news is, we won't be using it when it does. Bungie.net system administrator and part time gangster, Tommy G and I took advantage of the server's unexpected inaccessibility to move everything across campus to our new offices. During the next few days we (or more precisely, tom) will be setting up the boxes, running checks and making changes where necessary to get everything online.
Yes, Virginia, this does include the TFL server.
So, once everything is up and running, it will simply be a matter of DNS propagation before you can get back online. As some of you may remember from our initial move West, this process can take anywhere from a day to a month, or longer, depending on your ISP, routers, etc. This time, however, you won't have to download a new patch, and hopefully everyone will be able to get to Bungie.net soon.
That is all.
All I can say is ugh .
