Cheaters Never Win... We Hope
BGH pointed out an article at Halo Phenom documenting how, as has been done to countless PC-based shooters before it, modified maps, models and textures are being applied to PC Halo to give players what might euphemistically be called an unfair advantage. Cheating, that is.

A Corpse-Humping Good Weekly Update
Frankie's Update this week is in the forum over at Halo Babies, and includes shots of one of the Nightmare Armor guys corpse-humping a cananimator. Seems like new movies and screenshots are just around the corner, though. Maybe.

MLG Revises 2004 Event Schedule
Major League Gaming has revised their event schedule for March-June, 2004. Each event begins on the 4th of the month; originally the order began with San Fransisco in March, then Dallas, L.A. and Boston.
The new order is Dallas, Boston, L.A. and then San Fransisco.
UPDATE:We've been informed that there's yet another schedule change, that the next event is in April, and we should have a new schedule again soon.

A Cenobite By Any Other Name
Cenobite is the featured spotlight (lucky number seven for members of Starsiege:2845 in fact) over at the Junkyard. Cenobite did the Master Chief skin for Tribes 2, among other things. Thanks to Ryan "Mhaddy" Matthews for the heads-up.

In any case, in the last ten days since R.net was updated (yes, yes, we know, we know) a lot has happened:
- Frankie posted yet another update at HBO, and we've archived it.
- Cortana.org put up screenshots of Sapien, the still-as-yet-unreleased Halo editor.
- HomeLAN Fed says PC Halo is still selling well, placing 7th out of ten US PC titles according to NPDFunworld. (Well, Halo 2 isn't out yet, so...)
- DocOctavius, ofthehi77 and beta opened Yayap.com featuring lots of original Halo-related digital art.
- HBO and Subnova, currently sharing some hosting, are experiencing some temporary technical difficulties, so please bear with them.
- Red vs Blue released Episode 26.

Big-Ern over at Battleground: Halo got the man himself (no, not The Man, he left Bungie awhile ago) to interview him about his involvement in the Bungie community, what it takes to keep HBO purring along like the sleek white blue-eyed albino kitten it clearly is, and some other stuff about goats that we won't mention. Oops.
