I’m not convinced this is the best way to do this as it doesn’t really allow the level of Google Maps interactivity I wanted (multiple simultaneous editing) but it is a possible first step.
If you launch Google Earth and choose “Network Link” from the Add menu and type in the URL:

This is the theme from the announcement trailer for Halo 3: ODST. It's my first arrangement so I'm sorry for any mistakes/inaccuracies which there probably will be. I transcribed it using Finale notepad 2005 which doesn't allow me to change key or time signatures in the middle of a piece so that's why the entire thing is in 6/8 and F-minor. The sax part can be played on piano if you want, but just remember to transpose it down (the notes are A flat, G, and C in concert pitch). Feel free to fix it and change whatever you want to make it better.
Just a short note: the image gallery that accompanies the Cortana podcast episode posted yesterday is also now up, for all those people who (like me) don't yet have their copies of ODST and are still trying to avoid spoilers.

First I'll say this: I liked District 9.
However, I never really thought Neill Blomkamp was really the best choice to do the Halo film, and reading this quote in his interview with Rotten Tomatoes only confirmed it for me:
If you're looking to get your Marathon on and you don't have the XBLA port, the open source project Aleph One is still going strong. The latest update makes changes to the Lua scripting engine and adds HUD enhancements similar to the one in the XBLA version.
Aleph One runs on Macs, Linux, oh, and Windows, too.
There were those who said it couldn't be done. There were those who said it shouldn't be done.
What are they to say now?
Probably something along the lines of "you're insane" because that's a bit how I feel right now dropping a whopping two hours and twenty-four minutes of Anger, Sadness and Envy covering the Halo 3 campaign level "The Covenant" in its entirety.
I'll admit it, we're between a rock and a hard place here.
The rock is the backlog of Anger, Sadness & Envy podcast episodes covering the latter half of The Ark, plus the last three levels of Halo 3: The Covenant, Cortana, and Halo.
The proverbial hard place is the quickly approaching release of Halo 3: ODST taking place now in less than three weeks, at which point it's logical to assume that the community's focus will understandably shift to the new game. Of course we're also looking forward to the new game.
