Gurus Toast PC Halo
Two new reviews of Halo for the PC are up; thanks for the note to Blue's News. The first is at WickedToast; their review hinged mostly on their extreme disappointment at having the clever Covenant units replaced with mindless, ever-advancing, Doom-like Flood. The second, from GameGuru Mania, gave the game an 84% overall and includes a huge collection of screenshots. (We'll check later if they're new or not).
Chelsea Bridge Spills The Beans?
Hmm. Well, just like Durandal before her, it looks like Chelsea's getting a mite impatient with the cyborg brain's predilection towards gunplay over logical thought. But at least you enjoy the killing, right? It's all about the killing. Thanks Louis Wu at HBO.
CPL To Hold Halo Summit On IRC

Vidmasters For A New Generation
The Harcore's Hardcorner column at Xbox.com has reinvented the Vidmaster's Oath, in a way-- insisting that truly "hardcore" players eschew the assault rifle (and nearly all other weapons) for the human and plasma pistols. The most disturbing part, though, is the T. J. Hooker reference. Thank-ee to Louie Woo.

Xbox Live Gets Broader
[image:4307 left hspace=5 vspace=5 border=0]Microsoft has announced 22 new broadband partners for Xbox live, including OptusNet and Telstra, TeliaSonera, and many others in the eight new Xbox Live countries (Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Korea, Norway and Switzerland). The total number of providers is now over 70. Thanks GameSpot.
An Absolutely Unreal University
Blue's News is reporting that Epic Games has announced Unreal University, where modmakers will get training on the Unreal Engine. Hey, Bungie, you going to let Epic steal all the mindshare in the modmaker education business? Where's Halo University? Sheesh, the sales of sweatshirts and bumper stickers to alumni alone would be a gold mine.
