Halo Babies In Multiple Dimensions
Lots of new stuff at Halo Babies over the past few days; a new strip, two new fan strips, new 3-D desktops and 3-D fan strips. Thanks mrsmiley.

Be in Times Square in New York at the ESPN Zone restaurant on November 4th and you could be one of only 50 randomly-selected people who get to play Halo 2, the final version, before anybody else. Check MLG for details. Thanks Dolbex.
Fluffy Pants has a writeup, with photos, of the Crisp Death LANfest held at Louis Wu's earlier this month online at The Junkyard. The photo of the network rack is a nice touch. For carnage, apply within, I guess. Thanks Ryan "Mhaddy" Matthews.
This week's Bungie update won't come until Monday, instead of on Friday as usual. Frankie mentions it at Bungie.net and explains it in the HBO forum, along with a peace offering of a new screenshot from the Ascencion multiplayer map. The gist of it is that this update will be in video format, and hosted at Bungie.net once they've got the server sufficiently prepped.
GameSpot has two recent articles on the successor to the Xbox; one mentions that Microsoft is pledging to make it smaller, with a simpler design, at least in part to cater to the Japanese market, where the Xbox did not fare particularly well. The other mentions the attempts of the HD-DVD Association to get Microsoft to use their new media; Sony has already chosen the competing technology named Blu-Ray for the PlayStation 3.
Finn of the Halo Story Page asks in the HBO forum if anyone is willing to try and complete all of Halo 2's levels for the first time around (solo or coop) only on Legendary. Any takers? This inspired our new poll, so take a look and vote.
Dolbex writes that details of the 2004 MLG Season Championship are now up on the MLG site. Prizes for the Halo 4x4 tournament and the Halo FF competition. $50,000 is at stake; gaming is indeed big business these days, and not just for the companies that make them.
Notorious peripherals maker Lik Sang is now promoting a device called the SmartJoy designed to allow gamers to use a mouse and keyboard instead of the usual controller to play games on an Xbox, including Halo. HBO pointed out some salient points about the item, and so has TeamXbox. Our take? While we were big supporters of the keyboard and mouse combo prior to Halo's release, we've now become so used to it that using WASD in front of the TV just wouldn't seem AOK.
As far as whether or not using a mouse and keyboard would give a player an advantage over those using gamepads, this post seems to indicate that Bungie may already have considered this and has a way to deal with it by limiting turn radius.
Slashdot today discusses a Washington Post article on teens coping with video game addiction. One thing I had never heard before was an organization called Online Gamers Anonymous, founded in 2002 by Liz Wooley, whose son Shawn committed suicide that year following depression and EverQuest.
Looks like the new Rooster Teeth Productions website has gone up, with neat new features, a slick new design, and information on Red vs Blue as well as new productions like The Strangerhood (machinima using the Sims engine). Thanks Rams at Halo Planet.
