Apparently it might be, despite recent suggestions that the games will be uncomparable with Halo's altered destiny. In PC Gamer's October issue, an anticipation poll titled Waiting is the Hardest Part gives Halo five times the interest that Tribes 2 receives. Here's a listing of the top ten games in the lineup (totaling 79% of the vote):
The fine fellows from Hexographica are back in business, and after managing to corner me on RHL, convinced me to post a PR announcing their newest creation. Don't worry, the doctor says I'll be back on my feet in no time! Ahem, the aforementioned text:
Are you a map maker looking for a bit of space to put up a website? What an astonishing coincidence! Maestro passed along this announcement that may be of interest to you:
Thanks to 3of9 for posting some new links to our forum. First of all, Microsoft announced 150 third-party developers for the X-Box. And second, they came out with a new logo for the X-Box, which is now prominently displayed on the official website. As far as a new name... that one appeared to be false.
Sigh... it's too bad we already used the pfh pun last year.
Marathon's Story, the venerable grand-daddy of most or all of the Bungie fan sites, ticked past five today, which is something like real old in web years. Webmaster Hamish Sinclair is also giving no sign of letting up soon, and it seems entirely likely that the site will see a seventh birthday. Aye, we all know that's what you're waiting for, Hamish... ;)
Kudos to Zin, who pointed out a brief discussion regarding Bungie's acquisition of Microsoft, and the handling of that righteous endeavor. The topic is more or less about keeping it real, and how that works in today's dog eat dog development world... an interesting read.
Ironfist of Clan Mac Gaming recently displayed his m4d 3D ski11z with a suggestion he had for a new Bungie coat of arms. (Not that they're looking) I thought it was impressive, and worth a looksie. =)
You can't cite a source more informative than Microsoft itself, and XBox.IGN did just that. Here's a blurb:
Kudos to Ax for reporting this article from FGN Online. In it, FGN reports that Microsoft may tomorrow be revealing a new name and design for the X-Box.
