The mod-based Unreal Tournament site called Mod Squad has reviewed Marathon Resurrection version 1.1.1. The Marathon-based mod scored 9.4 out of 10, which is extremely well.

Marathon Resurrection is in public beta and can be downloaded at Team Unphorgiven's website.

GameKult has reviewed Halo. Of course, you'll need to read French to understand it. HBO has reported that they liked it, except for the lack of bots and gave it a 9 out of 10 overall rating. I'll take their word for it!

Louis Wu of HBO has written a Halo review of his own. While you might expect the man behind one of the largest Halo sites online to be a bit biased, it's actually a very honest review. Louis Wu wasn't afraid to criticize what needed to be criticized and at the same time, he praised what needed to be praised. Since we all know what's good, here's an excerpt from the review that conveys a couple of the cons of Halo:

Louis Wu at HBO sifted through Blue's News and found a couple of reviews that escaped attention earlier:

Game Revolution gave Halo an A grade in their review; about the only thing they didn't like was the lack of bots.

Jim Ripclaw Broach at Gamer's Pulse has written a review of Halo, and his was as enthusiastic as any. In fact, he concludes by saying:

HBO's Louis Wu has posted two news items about Halo-related bits at GameFAQs. The first is a reader review section.

Head 2 Head has a Myth III review in the form of a dialogue among two gamers: Tristinian and Silver Surfer. Tristinian discusses the story of Myth III and the use of the in-game cutscenes:

GamePen has reviewed Myth III and found it to be fun and addictive, yet being plagued with bugs severely affected its rating. Overall it scored 3.5 out of 5 stars. Cenk Sensoy, reviewer, writes:

The Historian at MythVillage pointed out two new Myth III reviews.

GamesDomain not only liked the game a lot-- in fact, they liked it better than the previous two:

XboxWeb has reviewed Halo and gave it some serious props. Similarly to the Electric Playground review, they also loved the controls. They went insofar as to suggest that Microsoft [could have] specifically designed the controller to suit first person shooters such as Halo.

XboxWeb didn't stop there - not when they felt the audio needed tremendous commendation:

Jason MacIsaac has written a Halo review for the electric playground, and it's glowingly positive. In fact, they even liked the controls:

Will White at Cloudchaser Microsoft has reviewed Halo, and while they admitted that the graphics were gorgeous, they found the story less than innovative, the controls sometimes frustrating, and the water effects unrealistic. In addition:

CoreMagazine's Brendan Sinclair has written a review of Halo. As many others have, he compared it favorably to Half Life, lamented the lack of bots, and thought the audio was even better than the visuals. Overall he gave the game an 'A' grade:

HBO's own Louis Wu posted a note that Adrenaline Vault has finally put up their own Halo review; and shock of shocks, they thought it was great, giving it 5/5 overall.

There are a couple of Myth III reviews in the strategy section of PC Game Reviews. These user-submitted reviews are very positive overall. At this point, Myth III's average rating is 4.5 out of 5.
