guS at Drunkgamers.com, a site I didn't even know existed until right now (although the niche it fits is obvious) has reviewed Halo. While upset at the lack of Internet play, occasional framerate drops, and the opinion that the Needler is slightly less useful than a few sharp rocks, there wasn't much bad they could say about it:
Tim Stevens at ConsoleDomain has reviewed Halo, giving it a full 5 out of 5 rating, calling it a must-have game. There wasn't anything about the game he didn't like, but he focused more on gameplay balance, AI, and other elements, not just graphics:
Citing only some fussiness in the vehicle controls, GamePro's (rather short) review of Halo is otherwise positive, rating the game a full 5 out of 5 for Graphics, Sound, and Fun Factor with only a half-point off for Controls.
FunXbox has posted a positively glowing review of Halo on their site. Here's an excerpt:
IGN Xbox has compiled a list of currently reviewed games. The best part about this is that the previously Insider-only reviews like Halo and Oddworld are now available to anyone who clicks their link.
Man, did they like Halo... it got a 9.7 out of 10 score and scored perfect 10s in the presentation, sound, and gameplay areas.
Myth III got another positive review, this time at GameSpot UK. Scoring an overall 8.2 out of 10, its strongest point was the graphics while sound and gameplay struggled a little bit. GameSpot closes up and appropriately indicates that patches could seriously benefit the game:
After an appropriate amount of time playing Bungie's latest opus, Funky J has posted his own review of the game in the HBO forum. And while he admits that there are a few framerate stutters, and a few repetitive indoor areas, his review is mostly positive:
Louis Wu has posted an item at HBO that Flawless Cowboy (aka Case) made a forum post about the Halo review at Gaming Age.
ActionTrip has reviewed Myth III and was a bit harsh on it, giving it a 71% overall score. Other than the strong story and visual content, ActionTrip couldn't get over the flaws and lack of innovation:
