Gaming Age's Marcus Lai has summed up his reaction to the Halo 2 demo shown by MS at E3 thusly: Halo 2 Rocks.
We've never known Marcus to be wrong before. But then again, we don't know Marcus. So don't take our word for it.
Mnemesis over at Bungie Sightings has posted his impressions from the Halo 2 demonstration at MS' E3 press conference. He seemed pretty impressed, especially with some of the new wrinkles the sequel is sporting:

In a preview of sorts, Gamesradar has released a medium-sized article revealing some tantalizing Halo 2 facts, quotes, and screens. More is available if you grab a copy of Edge Magazine's latest issue (lots more), but this serves as a pleasant interlude if you don't bother hitting the news stands.
HBO supplied the link.
The gaming website Computer and Video Games has written up something vaguely resembling a Halo 2 preview. Nobody's quite sure where they got their information, or how valid it is, but it's worth reading.
Hat tip to The Junkyard.
Another interesting article mentioned by HBO's Louis Wu is at GameStudies. This one takes a look at Halo, and suggests that it's more genre breaking than it seems-- with an emphasis on the work break :
