Unless you've been abducted by Covenant since last night, you can't have missed the strange results in the U.S. Presidential Election. First Florida was counted for Gore, then withdrawn... then for Bush. All of the networks at that moment declared victory for the Republicans and began to call it a night. The New York times went forward, printing Bush Wins! and Gore made the customary phone call to his opponent. Then suddenly things shifted once again.
Today marks the third year since Myth: The Fallen Lords was released! It took Best Game of the Year and Real Time Strategy Game of the Year awards from several publications and online gaming sites in 1998, and game critics still continue to use it as a measuring stick for the real-time strategy/tactical genre.
Some of you will remember that, when he was with the now-static fansite TotalHalo, fAt1 interviewed several of the webmasters in the Halo community. Now that he has come to work at the Halo Multi Player Zone (login required) fAt1 has tossed out another round of questions. This time, our own Narcogen took a turn on Rampancy.net's behalf.
First reported by Haloplayers, the XBOX 365 site has posted up some uncomfirmed information that a phantom informer supplied to them two weeks ago. It includes a rough sketch of the front and rear of the X-Box, as well as some information on some possible alterations to the specs. It's worth a look, but keep the salt-shaker handy in case it's not completely accurate.
Powerman announced to us that he is currently working on a Starship Troopers mod for Myth II. However, he reports that he could use some assistance. Powerman is doing relatively well with the scripting, but he needs talented people to assist with color mapping and general mapmaking. He'll also be on the lookout for beta testers when the time is right. Oh, and one more thing... The Starship Troopers mod is based on Heinlein's book and not the movie.
Time flies when you're having fun... this week will mark the third anniversary of Myth, which started to ship and arrive on November 7th, 1997. The official launch date was November 14-15th, though, and already some special events are brewing up, as evidenced by this note from Giliath:

Amidst much grumbling and cursing of websites, fisj pointed out that the Jinn site at VistaCartel has recieved a facelift and some nifty new material. Both the screenshots and the feel of the site itself hint at that of the finished product, which is due out before Oni.

Alright, the cause of that little blow up yesterday has been smoked out and smushed, and all is right in the forum once again. Regulars will likely notice that their cookies are gone too... there's been changes in that department to keep multiple forums on the same server from walking all over each other.
