Rampancy wishes all Halo and Bungie fans everywhere a Happy St. Patrick's Day. Here's hoping the lean, green, and mean Master Chief gets a couple of green beers to go with his suit... and that he figures out how to get out of that suit when the time comes.
Nof's site, Halo 2: Ninjas On Fire, seems to have reopened for business back in February, unbeknownst to us. Not much new since then, but the new design is nice.
For users' convenience, we've created a zip archive of all 12 pages of the Enough Dead Heroes transcription by Spencer "Poop Scoop" Anunsen.
Rapture over at COERCE is asking for input on what game types players would like to see on the HBO-COERCE Halo PC Dedicated server.
To follow up on the transcription of Enough Dead Heroes from yesterday, today a guitar tab for Halo's opening theme, dome by XbShadow, went up at HBO.
Spencer "Poop Scoop" Anunsen spent some time awhile back transcribing Enough Dead Heroes from the Halo Soundtrack by Marty O'Donnell into sheet music for a string quartet. Flexibility in gaming has been an often-discussed topic for quite awhile, but this is extreme: you show up for this LANfest on Long Island, and they lock you in so you can't leave until ten hours later. In response to Aginor's question in the HBO forum about a possible Bungie Fan Fest at E3 this year, Miguel "Freewill" Chavez replies that regardless of whether or not Bungie can swing an official event, it's likely that a large number of Bungiefen will be there and do... something.
Sage Scorpion wished everyone a Happy Ides Of March in the HBO forum, so everybody beware.
HBO's Louis Wu pointed out a Halo multiplayer strategy guide by Kris Hull, who apparently knows a secret or two about Marathon, if the URL is to be believed. At the end of the guide is an interesting little glossary; I think Mulganistan borders Kazakhstan somewhere. They only play Counter Strike.
BGH pointed out an article at Halo Phenom documenting how, as has been done to countless PC-based shooters before it, modified maps, models and textures are being applied to PC Halo to give players what might euphemistically be called an unfair advantage. Cheating, that is.
The article contains URLs to some pictures that show such modified maps, models and textures.
Tony "Octanus" Poitra of Cortana.org and Forerunners.org (he has his own site there) is the subject of the latest Spotlight from The Junkyard.
Sid of Nightmare Armor corpse-humps Cananimator BentLlama during a visit to Bungie HQ.
