Stuntmutt and BOLL have each posted up in the HBO forum their respective writeups (Stuntmutt, BOLL) of their GameStars Live experiences playing Halo 2. BOLL's has pictures and a nice Flash version of a picture with Spartans in Nightmare Armor that gives headshots and names for each person in the pic; very slick.
Part IV of the series "As Real As a 'Survivor' Elimination" focusing on realism in Halo is now up over at the Junkyard. This one covers Silent Cartographer. In this part, Captain Luthan (not his real name) gives advice on handling Hunters:
mrsmiley writes today about a large art update at HaloBabies today, including new desktop images from Gruntsbane and akba, new art and strips by Halo Babies fans, and information on how to submit art to Halo Babies.
Frankie is back to doing the CENSORED on the CENSORED in this week's update, hosted over in the Halo Planet forum.
In addition to the new Halo Babies strip, Gruntsbane has done five new strip backgrounds for use in making fan Halo Babies strips. There's also a video documenting mrsmiley's trip to MLG.
OpeningAct had a better experience playing Halo 2 at Game Stars Live in London than other community members, having gotten to the front of the line in reasonable time and having a rampantly rampaging good time beging first to fifteen in a round of Slayer on Zanzibar, and posting about it in the HBO forum.
And yes, in case you're wondering, this item got mentioned because of its use of the word rampant.
BlackOps has posted in the Gearbox HaloCE forum about a modification that he and some associates have made to an Unreal Tournament 2003 statistics program. Now this statistics package works with Halo server logs if you have FTP access to the logs themselves.
Achronos has posted up at Bungie.net that the Seventh Column will be shut down next week, on September 7, for major upgrades including a new look, new forums, and a new user database. Some important notes:
The Red vs Blue website has been updated with news of the availability of Trocadero's first album on CD (is that an oxymoron?) It's called, appropriately enough, Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue.
The CD contains all the music from the Red vs Blue series, and you can buy it now in their online store.
Ryan "synide" Thompson is the latest profile subject at The Junkyard; he's also got a review of Halo 2 up, based on his impressions playing at the MLG Downpour event. Thanks for the heads-up to Louis Wu at HBO.
Frankie came back from PAX, the Penny Arcade Exposition, and posted up his experiences over at Bungie.net. Of course, along with the chance to see Tycho and Gabe in person, PAX featured multiplayer action of the E3 build of Halo 2.
