this is my variation on the halo theme for clarinet, contrabass, cello, violin and horns in F
My first attempt at transcribing music,
There are a few bits which I cut down for the fact it sound boring without a full orchestra and it's emotion (they are just repeating, apart from dynamics). Then, there is a section where I could not complete the rhythmn properly and the final outro I there's something slightely wrong with the rhythmn but I couldn't work out what the real rhythmn was on paper. The expression marks could be better... But if you've listened to the song you shouldn't have trouble working thing's out (as goes for the outro).
Epilogue from the Halo 2 vol. 2 Soundtrack. Composed by Martin O'Donnell, transcripted by Benjamin Bergem.
This the Truth and Reconciliation Suite version that Poop Scoop did. I changed the channels, pan, volume, and instruments. I was getting a MIDI error when I played it through SongWriter 2007. The problem was that all of the instruments were under the same instrument name channel and General MIDI (GM). This causes the sound to be glitchy and sound unrealistic. Also, by changing the pan, you can edit where the instrument's sound source comes from. In other words, if you listen through a set of headphones, you can hear different instruments from various directions.
For those who don't have Finale PrintMusic, I've added PDF and MIDI files to the entries for Covenant Dance, Follow Our Brothers, and To Kill A Demon.
Another Halo sheet music submission from MJCrascal21; this time it's Halo 1's Covenant Dance (with percussion). Audio file to come soon.
Transcription of "Covenant Dance", by Martin O'Donnell, transcription by Mike Poe.
This song is from Halo Combat Evolved, and is, in my opinion, one of the best songs in the Halo trilogy.
The percussion parts are what makes this song great, and I've tried my best to transcribe them in addition to the other instruments.
An mp3 audio file for this song is now up and running. enjoy
MJCrascal21 has submitted two new pieces to the sheet music database: Follow Our Brothers and To Kill A Demon, both from Halo 3. Both of these are PrintMusic files, and To Kill A Demon also includes audio; hopefully audio will be added to Follow Our Brothers shortly.
Transcription of "Follow Our Brothers", by Marty O'Donnell, transcribed by Mike Poe.
This song can be heard during the video segment following "Flood Gate" in Halo 3.
Transcription of the main theme from "To Kill a Demon", by Marty O'Donnell, transcribed by Mike Poe.
This part of the song can be heard during the main vehicular battle towards the end of "Tsavo Highway" in halo 3
