So much for a quiet evening. Set upon by Bullseye the instant I logged onto BadlandsHL, I was advised that something worth seeing was on the b.net Admin HL server, that impenetrable fortress of solitude where much of our foul plotting takes place.
Well, not so impenetrable it seems, for this was waiting in the news:

Kudos to geert, who sends word of a new Halo preview at Ultimate Gamer. The screenshots will be familiar, but there is some interesting new information towards the end, especially concerning the environment. Definitely one to take a look at.
Kudos are in order for CaptShazbot, who has unveiled several stunning observations made after watching the Halo trailer a few too many times. However, some viewers may be disturbed by what he has uncovered... you have been warned.
Kudos to rojay, who cleared up a little confusion surrounding an IMG Halo preview teaser. Earlier this week, they posted this little hint on their screenshots page:
In the coming months we'll be visiting Bungie for a special preview of this hot new game.
Sounds like one among the inevitable flood of Halo previews that we should watch for, especially since IMG has longtime ties with Bungie.
News spam time! After purging my long unused email account of some 380 spam messages (and 20 apologies from my ISP for said spam), my tgreen@revelstoke.net addy is now working like a charm. The change is because it is more reliable than my former address, which will likely be terminated as soon as my former hosts notice it.
Due to the purge, I may've lost a few messages recieved in the last few hours... if I'm unusually slow in responding, try resending, just to be on the safe side.
Butcher has posted an excellent analysis of the Halo trailer, pointing out a few oddities and putting forth a few theories. Is there a camera object in the movie, and was it done entirely in engine in one pass, or edited later? Good food for thought.
Bah, after two months of checking Apple's Quicktime Showcase on a daily basis, Hamish and Marathon's Story still scooped me on this one! ;)
As widely expected, Apple has made Halo a featured item at their Quicktime Showcase site, virtually guaranteeing it thousands of additional viewers. Probably more. Time to pretty our sites up a bit, we may have visitors.

The forum archive is in place and running nicely now, as are the site's other scripts and things. With the exception of the Database, which I've just been too lazy to get going. Perhaps tomorrow.
