Long live CPHL!
One of the longest surviving establishments in the Myth community went offline a few moments ago, with no promises that it will return. Graciously hosted by Kodiak for almost the past year, CPHL was both a much loved gathering place and a flashpoint for conflicts in the community. However, with Kodiak graduating and moving on, the Hotline server has lost it's host (at least, for the summer). In the interests of history, the last words:

PCXL, in their final print issue, have a Nine Hot Games feature, among which of course is Halo. There are no new screenshots, but it's a decent recap of everything, and it includes a short Q&A with Joe Staten.
Now, we're not really sure if this is new news, or old news, but it didn't show up in the archive, so what the heck. Cookies for the first fellow to transcribe and post that sucker!
Bob the warrior, in a post on the Oni Central forum, pointed out an interesting page at Amazon.com. In particular, it's the entry for Oni, listing a price of $49.99 for Macintosh and Windows versions, as well as Windows system requirements and this item of note:
Before his confirmation as a new member of the Rampancy.net staff, SiliconDream posted up a rather interesting transcript of some statements made by Peter Tamte. Tamte is Bungie's Executive VP of Publishing, formerly the Senior Director of Consumer Marketing at Apple, and was a member of an E3 panel discussion on licensing. If you haven't read this then maybe you should, since it could relate to future events involving the Halo and Oni engines.
It looks like the flow of news after E3 is starting to ebb a little, which means I'll be able to revert to somewhat less clustered reporting in awhile. I found a few items for your perusal in my scans of the various gaming sites:

The votes have been counted! A number of popular gaming enthusiast sites had posted links to Bungie's question regarding whether people were interested in obtaining a copy of the E3 Halo movie on DVD. Here's a cut & paste from bungie.net:

Maestro claims the cookies for transcribing and sending in the text of the PCXL interview with Bungie's Joseph Staten. While we'd like to post it, those dang copyright laws keep getting in the way (we're seeking permission, mind you).
