While there's been no deal officially announced, Matt Soell mentioned in a previous story (see below) that Nvidia had provided Bungie with video acceleration cards for testing purposes.
According to a story by David Read on MacWeek.com, Nvidia may be providing Mac-compatible cards as early as next year. From the story:
The Daily Radar has a story on Take Two Interactive Software gaining exclusive rights for Empire Interactive console games in North America. Talonsoft, a Take Two subsidiary, would get PC distribution rights. From the story:
Lunar asked in the Halo.bungie.org forum (again) about what video cards, video APIs, etc Halo would use and got this response from Matt Soell:
The dedicated folk over at Marathon Open Source have a few updates for a lazy Thursday afternoon. Progress being made on Pfhortran, and some additions to the future Aleph One plans, network games and map editors in particular. Very cool to see Marathon being reborn... just can't keep a good game down.
As posted at halo.bungie.org, GameCritics have retracted the abysmal MAC platform comment made in a recent Halo preview. Dfin' has posted the response he received to his complaint, and slighted Mac users may find it of interest. See? You can change things... at least, a little bit.
In another post at the Halo.bungie.org forum (busy place, isn't it?) fAt1 says he's found out that the UK magazine PC Gamer will get the rights to distribute the new E3 Halo demo movie there.
The note, supposedly from Trev at PCG, says:
As stoked as everyone who attended E3 was about the new Halo demonstration movie, there has been some unrest in the community over the wait until it's released to the general public.
In response to a request for some tidbits to tide us over til then, Bungie's Matt Soell had this to say in a post on the Halo.bungie.org forum:
More than one time in the past, fans of Bungie have implored the company to step in and rescue a game title or company in financial trouble. Bungie's Matt Soell was kind enough to reply in our forum to one such plea regarding Looking Glass:
Vector at Battleground: Halo was able to get in a few questions at Doug Zartman and managed to get an answer (of sorts) about the inclusion of a first-person perspective:
