There's a somewhat short and sour review for Oni up at GamePro. I got the impression that they didn't, or just didn't want to, spend much time with the game. Ku- ACK! ERG! $%(@!!! Thanks go to S'phtman for giving us the heads-up on this one.
Games@MacNN has begun its Oni strategy guide feature, which will walk you through the game with screenshots and descriptions. The guide has launched with the first level walkthrough and a new level will be added each day until the game has been completely detailed.
MacGamer has posted an interview with Devin Winterbottom of the Oni team. Winterbottom's official title is Oni Brand Manager, which means he managed much of the Oni promotional items. The interview reflects Oni's development and how Winterbottom feels about its release. MacGamer asked what's on everyone's mind:
I had fired off an e-mail to EB World shortly after they stopped taking Halo preorders. Electronics Boutique's well-known e-commerce site was claiming that Halo will only be coming out for the X-Box. (A claim that Matt soon refuted in typical Soellar style ;-) I described the problem to EB World, the response from Bungie to their claims, and asked when they would correct the matter on their site. The response was a bland one:
GoD Games' Oni Special Moves feature is complete now, of course... As promised, they counted down the days to Oni's release. The only thing not counted on, but not all that surprising, was that some stores started moving boxed Konokos a few days early. If you haven't studied at the GoD dojo yet, you might benefit from it.
There are three Oni reviews up at GamePen (score: 3/5), Mac Gamer (score: 4/5), and MPOG (score: 4.5/5). GamePen gives appreciation to Oni's attention to detail with audio, describing the joy of getting a more realistic experience when cracking opponents' necks, but picks on the lack of gamepad support and trashes Oni's AI.

The Bungie Store was a place to purchase all the Bungie loot you could possibly desire, but it was closed shortly after Bungie was acquired by Microsoft. Its demise left many fans with a teary eye. However, it has returned and is accepting Oni orders! Be sure to place your order quickly so you can get the free Konoko door poster!
Oni is now available in stores! Well, not the Bungie Store just yet... grr...
Coinciding with its release, two more Oni reviews have been published. Games@MacNN gives a positive review, stating that Oni continues Bungie's knack for making ground-breaking games.
Oni received a decent review from InsideMacGames. Of course, the major gripe was the absence of multiplayer -- nothing new here.
Tobias and paw of OniShots have released the first editor for Oni. The Oni Save Game Editor will allow you to edit which level you're on, which save point you're at, which weapon you're holding, how much ammo you're carrying, and more. OSGE is available for Mac and PC and can be downloaded OSGE from OniShots.
