I had fired off an e-mail to EB World shortly after they stopped taking Halo preorders. Electronics Boutique's well-known e-commerce site was claiming that Halo will only be coming out for the X-Box. (A claim that Matt soon refuted in typical Soellar style ;-) I described the problem to EB World, the response from Bungie to their claims, and asked when they would correct the matter on their site. The response was a bland one:
Hello Mr. Swenson,Unfortunately, Halo will not be placed on the site until we are sure that we will be carrying the product. I would think it would placed back online within a few weeks.
Have a great day,
Todd
So now the question is: why would EB World fail to capitalize on a sure-to-sell game like Halo? Well, there are plenty of other places that one can preorder at, with less difficulty. If you already preordered with EB World, just make sure to check that credit-card bill when Halo finally does come out. In the mean time, if you go to the EB World site you'll note that Oni is one of the prime, featured titles on their front page. There's hope yet!
