We've noticed that several users have had problems logging into Rampancy since we made the upgrade, and it's possible that this is due to the server change.

If you're having trouble logging into your Rampancy account, click on the link to mail yourself a new password. If you gave Rampancy a valid email address when you created your account, you should receive a new password via email. If not, you can just create a new account.

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Rampancy Version 3 is now online. There have been a few changes to some parts of the site most users will be familiar with, such as the forum. We'll be presenting some tutorials on how the new site works, as well as on many of the new features, such as the image galleries, e-mail notifications, private messaging, and many others.

In addition, for some users who want them we will be working on creating templates for areas like the forum so that the appearance of the old site will be preserved; when these are ready we'll post about them as well.

We've gone in and pruned some of the dead wood out from the links and news feeds sections, as well as adding in a few new items, most notably the G-Spy news feed. Later this year we hope to revamp Rapmancy almost entirely, adding new features and content. Stay tuned.

In what I hope is our last story ever on this topic, we're finally regained control of our domain name.

The site is once again accessible at our rightful name, http://rampancy.net. Please update your bookmarks. Most of the links on the site have also been changed so they go to this address, so you may need to login again.

There seems to be a lot going on in the Bungie community these days. Old sites shutting down, new ones coming online, dead and gone ones resurrecting themselves.

The latest news is the launch of MythDevelopers. Currently they are beta testing Myth 3 on Windows XP. Could this be the start of a Myth renaissance? Stay tuned, and kudos to Zandervix for the note at MBO.

BG:H updated today with the news on Halo 2; looks like they might (also) be getting more active. Also, in the process of cruising the BG:H forum threads, amidst the arguments about whether or not Halo 1.5 does or will exist (silly rabbit, Halo tricks are for Louis) we came across DarkHelmet.org, which has some interesting Halo content, and had heretofore escaped inclusion in our links page.

It seems another Myth site has shut down. The Myth Tournies site, which used to be hosted at www.clanger.com, is now a page advertising the services of of Netster, whatever that is.

Although he admits they aren't producing any new material, Gastropod did poke out of his shell long enough to let us know that Creation isn't dead; it's merely at a new address.

We've put the new link in our links database.

There seems to be a lot of this going around.

Ancrik.com now redirects to http://trafficstats.info/4u/route.php?tid=4, which is currently displaying an unable to select database error.

OZHalo.com has also apparently gone offline, and bears the same for sale notice as Creationgames.

The Creationgames.com website appears to be gone... what appears in that space now is a note that the domain is for sale.

The countdown banner at Xbox.com disappeared briefly this week, but has apparently returned. BOLL first noted it was missing, and Louis Wu posted it at HBO.

Given that the countdown is an image, I'm guessing the countdown outage was a result of a manual update rather than anything nefarious.

After a long period of processing and development, HBO has finally put up their Miscellanous section, where, as one might guess, everything goes that does not belong somewhere else. Odd thing is, I think it has immediately become the largest content area on the site.

In the scramble to get back into a daily posting routine, we overlooked making a formal announcement, but I'm sure a few people noticed his first post a few days ago. Vector40 has joined the staff here at Rampancy; everybody be sure to say hi.
