Strolled over to the Marathon Open Source project page and saw that the Macintosh version of Aleph One was updated earlier today. Although it's dated February 20, there is no news item that lists the latest changes. At any rate, be sure to download the latest build if Aleph One is your thing.
Come one, frag all! Team Unpfhorgiven is pleased to announce the first ever Marathon: Resurrection internet tournament. This event will mark the first ever Marathon-related tournament held over the internet.
When and where do I sign up?
Entries will be taken starting from January 16th to the 29th. Tournament play will commence on February 6th. Games will be played on weekdays after 6PM PST.

There is a nifty screenshot over at Marathon Open Source that shows the Warthog from Halo rendered within Marathon. Funny, I don't remember it being those colors.
The mod-based Unreal Tournament site called Mod Squad has reviewed Marathon Resurrection version 1.1.1. The Marathon-based mod scored 9.4 out of 10, which is extremely well.
Marathon Resurrection is in public beta and can be downloaded at Team Unphorgiven's website.

Eric Trautmann answered a few questions over at HBO about the upcoming Halo prequel novel-- among the tidbits was the fact that Cortana will be one of four points of view presented in the book. The identity of at least some of the other three apparently constitutes a spoiler. Oh, yeah... and there might be one or two Marathon references...
From Subnova comes word that Frigidman of Evihcra has set up a Marathon: Resurrection game server. M:R is a Marathon-themed mod for Unreal Tournament. Frigidman's post says:

Marathon Resurrection is a Marathon -> Unreal Tournament total conversion that has been under way for nearly two years now, which saw its initial public release a few months ago and was quite strongly welcomed by die-hard Marathoners. In the new release, two new game modes have been added: King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch.
