The standard issue assault rifle used by Marines and the Master Chief during Halo 1, the MA5B fires 7.62mm armor-piercing rounds, and fires in fully automatic mode, but is more accurate when fired in semiautomatic mode, which must be achieved manually by alternately releasing and depressing the trigger.

A very long thread in the Gearbox forums has some of the usual complaints about Halo CE in it, mostly about lag and "warping", and a response from Randy "DuvalMagic" Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox, providing some of the background on the project to port Halo to the PC and how it affected the game's eventual network performance:

Halo World has an item on a program called Halo Map Manager, which allows you to activate and deactivate maps in your Halo Custom Edition folders. This is a big advantage, since the number of maps in that folder affects CE's load times. Thanks demented puppy dot com.

Nico "Grasshopper" Audy-Rowland, the music and audio guy for Red vs Blue, the Strangerhood, and some Project Magma maps, has done a strenuously detailed interview with Marty "The Elder" O'Donnell, music and audio guy on Myth, Halo and Halo 2. Marty seems to be running neck and neck with Frankie for the award for most forthcoming and loquacious Bungie employee. HBO is hosting it the interview.
The author of the rockslide megabattle scenario, rockslider, has an multi-part series of humorous interviews by fictional WRKX radio reporter Suzie Hoffenblatt with various characters from Halo. The series is called Frontline with Suzie. The style is somewhat reminiscent of Douglas Adams, and they're well worth a read.
Wolfy over at Sector 7 has posted up the winners of this year's Rockets on Prisoner video contest; top honors went to FTC #13 by XboxOttawa, which won for best movie and best screenplay. Mike Miller, Pico and Athol Productions also won awards.
HomeFront, a Halo-themed mod for Battlefield Vietnam, has put up in The Junkyard's forum a large collection of images showing the interior of a Covenant Cruiser, including docked Seraphs and Phantoms.
