That's right, the dusty old Database script hasn't been forgotten about. Kudos go to Cannibal Harry and CyberBob, who have written up an extensive analysis of the Cortana letters as well as those enigmatic quotes that could be found on Bungie's original Halo website. Tons of thought provoking material here.
Flashback (aka Alan Stott) has notified us of a new article at Halo-Net, titled the The Introduction Handbook for Halo. It may have a couple of light inaccuracies and definitely isn't for the bandwidth-challenged, since the pages are actually GIF images. It also ends at page three... I'm not sure if that was intended or not. It will be interesting to compare this with Ferr's own Welcome to Halo article.
Kudos to Legend for posting word of a new Halo preview at. Folks, we're getting rusty-that preview is two weeks old!
Here's some more information on Bungie's participation in PowerPlay, straight from Matt Soell:
Kudos to Merkinjata for passing this bit of news on to us. ShugaShack is reporting that seven new companies have joined the PowerPlay initiative, including Bungie. Here's a cut from the anouncement at ShugaShack:
Nothing like predawn updates to get the blood pumping. A slow day yesterday, but there's a few things out there for the roaming Halo devout. To start with, there's plenty of speculation about rings and ring motifs at Marathon's Story, suggesting even more Jjarro links in Halo, and halo.bungie.org has obtained and translated another German Halo preview... both certainly worth checking out.
A quick FAQ update to get the ball rolling today. Kudos go to Freewill, who provided clarifications for some old answers and laid the groundwork for some new ones with his MWSF observations. Eighty six questions and counting...
Lifted from Inside Mac Games is word of another Tribes2 Interview at pc.ign.com.
What's possibly of note to Halo players is that deals almost exclusively with CD key copy protection schemes similar to the one Bungie used for the Myth series and could use for Halo. Dynamix has learned a bit from Tribes, and that experience will likely benefit a great many games in months and years to come...
Following an earlier post about Halo player group names, Bungie's webmonkey Yeroen has offered a glimpse of things to come in the forum:
