Opening The Floodgates
Since HBO isn't accepting One One Se7en guest strips anymore, Stuntmutt figured he would put two up on his blog. I hope he knows what he's getting himself in for...

Dolbex at Major League Gaming will be putting up information about their 2005 season and the slight problems with their website which, as of now, have been fixed.
A lot more tools and information are coming out for those who aren't happy to just enjoy Halo 2 from the perspective of a normal user, but want to sneak into the engine and tinker a bit. VerdaFolio at demented puppy dot com notes two such released: one is a page of trainers for Halo 2 at EvolutionX.
Dennis Powers writes to tell of us a contest for Halo CE (Custom Edition) video makers being run at HaloMaps, Gearbox, and EPG Servers. First prize is two free months hosting for a 16-player Halo CE server with TeamSpeak, hosted by EPG Servers. Here's how to enter:
Bluestone of EchoFourNineteen takes a turn as a guest artist at Halo Babies this week. Thanks mrsmiley.
Rampancy.net viewer and clan member Game_Theory became the 4000th registered user of Rampancy.net on Saturday, December 4, 2004. Rampancy is happy to still be serving the fringes of the Bungie community after five years, and is especially gratified at the new users who have been brought to the site by the launch of Halo 2. To Game_Theory and all of Rampancy's new users-- welcome!
A special detachment of Bungie's best calling themselves the Frag Doodz took on girl gamers the Frag Dolls in the latest Humpday Challenge and were as gracious in their (narrow) victory as we're ever likely to see them. This is what happens when geeks try to impress girls. Both sites have blog entries from various participants about the match.
vviperxx pointed out another way to save your Halo 2 XBL stats from being wiped out: a perl script called H2SA that downloads all the HTML pages from Bungie.net and processes the statistics to produce a summary. It runs on Windows and *unix computers.
David Galindo has made several Halo 2 movies, the most striking of which perhaps is The Sights of Halo 2, which includes no action or gameplay, just some of the beautiful locations in the game set against part of the Halo 2 soundtrack. Almost... soothing. You can see it, and his other videos, at the recently-opened Sights of Halo 2 site. Thanks Evil Avatar.
Major Nelson points out a way developed by Samrad to pull your Halo 2 stats from the RSS feed at Bungie.net into Excel for analysis and the making of pretty charts. Editor's Note: The required "import XML" menu item seems to be missing from Excel 2004 on the Mac, so it looks like this procedure requires Windows.
Looks like Lore Sjöberg at Wired was disappointed by Halo 2's ending. Thanks Louis Wu. In addition, there are fan reviews of Halo 2 by mothergoat and ragereset in the HBO forum that, while not always positive, are thought-provoking.
The updates to Halo 2's Xbox Live playlists have arrived; the Team Slayer only list is now there. If you were online when the lists were updated, you'll need to disconnect and reconnect to see the new lists. Lots of changes here, and you can see a list of all the changes at Bungie.net.
CH2R, the Halo 2 modding tool, has been updated to v0.5.4. You can get it at HaloMods. Thanks VerdaFolio at demented puppy dot com.
A lot of new stuff over at Halo Babies: not just the usual fan art, but also some flash work by CompassGhost and a video of Halo 2 cutscenes by zero. Editor's Note: Warning, the movie (quite obviously) contains spoilers. Thanks mrsmiley.
