Grunt Birthday Party is a silver skull. It is the second skull on Crow's Bridge. After clearing the Barracks, you'll be sent out to meet the Arbiter. You'll drop down a short, narrow shaft at the end of a corridor and find yourself in a large tunnel with several pipes interconnecting from the left and right sides from which Drones will emerge-- they'll fly across from one pipe to the other in front of you.
if you look closley, you can see an orange stripe around the hunters back waist area and around his neck. when the hunter has his back turned to you, shoot the orange stripe (with a pistol to make it look cooler) at the orange strip OR shoot it when the hunter turns to whack you if you hit him i9n the neck he will drop in one hit
The sequel to Bungie's award-winning Halo FPS game.
The Seattle Post Intelligencer wonders if Halo 3 can 'turn things around' for Microsoft's Xbox 360.
While I know from personal experience that copyeditors are sometimes pressed for time, I'm still at a loss to understand that headline.
With the embargo date now past, reviews of Halo 3 are going up all over the web. Rather than flood the front page with them, there's now a separate Halo 3 reviews page and a menu item in the left hand column.
Have you played Halo 3? Want to submit your own review? Go to your Halo 3 User Reviews section to do it (registration and login required).
Also, at temporarily I've replaced the Bloggers block on the right with a block that will show the most recently added reviews.
Luke Smith has posted up the last Bungie Weekly Update before the game goes into everyone's (or mostly everyone's) hands: a How-To article on Bungie.net's new features.
Still nothing about fileshare RSS feeds, but it does look like there will be a high degree of integration between your fileshare and the Bungie.net forums.
Looks like some of the guys over at The Hushed Casket managed to pick up copies of Halo 3 early-- they're already unlocking achievements! So far there are no matchmaking lists online, apparently.
In the past couple days, Microsoft has put up two new Halo-related items on the web powered by its Flash-like Silverlight technology; first, the Halo-themed Tafiti search engine (which I've had a little trouble loading) and now an Interactive Halo 3 Manual... which I'm having a bit more luck with. Maybe you will, too.
Chris Martin at Games First writes that between glitchers, hackers, and eight-year-olds, he'll be turning in his copy of Gears of War to pick up Halo 3 next week. Thanks Louis Wu at HBO.
IGN has put together a piece on the history of the Halo franchise; Louis Wu at HBO notes a few inaccuracies they've made, but if you weren't a Halo fan eight years ago you might find some of this "old stuff" interesting.
zOMGWTFUDIED has gotten ahold of an early copy of Halo 3 and discovered what he thinks is a superbounce while dying near the Froman base on Last Resort (Zanzibar).
Bungie's Jonty Barnes, talking to GameSpot at the Tokyo Game Show, mentioned that Bungie had to triple its server capacity to handle the increased load from Halo 3. Not sure whether that meant matchmaking, or community features, or what; but from the latest podcast it seems that stat-tracking will be vastly expanded, and Bungie is aiming to keep player career stats more or less completely and indefinitely.
That's the question posed on the latest podcast at C|Net. With Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360 vying for the spot of top dog among next generation consoles, Microsoft has to be counting on their flagship franchise, Halo 3, to provide that final push to original Xbox owners to pony up for a 360. Will it be enough? We'll know soon.
