Decameron points out in our forum that the Italian magazine Applicando includes a Halo blurb, along with an image of a Covenant troop that was first displayed at GameCenter before E3. Here's his provided translation:
Halo Center reports that their hosts, MGON, have linked to the Enter the Game network to provide a new IRC channel for those chataholics in our community. The server is irc.enterthegame.com and the channel #halo, easy enough. If you're a big IRC fan, be sure to check it out.
There is an interview with J. Allard at IGN Xbox. HBO was the first to post about this. Allard is the general manager of the project, and so would be in a position of authority to speak on its development. Here's a Halo-related snippet:
Alan Stott, aka FlashBack of Halo-Net.Com and Halo Center, has informed us that the Halo-Net site will begin offering Halo merchandise at a new shop... possibly as early as July first, their site reports.

Just a quick update on the fan petition to bring Halo to the Mac & PC. The tally is now at 25,168, but the frequency of entries has decreased. Perhaps if it continues to get a little more exposure we can break the 30,000 mark?
A portion of my remaining soul to Isolder, who has uploaded nearly a dozen scans from PC Gamer's August 2000 Halo preview to RHL, and transcribed the text of the preview to boot! An excerpt:
Finally, the road cone alien revealed. Marathon's Story has obtained several scans from the July PCZone Benelux Halo developer diary showing what appears to be the small, orange alien seen briefly in the bTV day 4 footage from MWSF 2000. Whew.
It's a curious little critter, and apparently comes in a few varieties. While the large canister on the back of one just screams hand delivered explosives to me, we really know nothing else about these units... stay tuned for more info as it comes.
D'n'A reported in HBO's forum about a new Halo preview in the Dutch gaming magazine PCZone Benelux. Among other things it talks about the Covenant monkey-like creature we briefly saw on bTV day three. It also includes some screen shots from the E3 movie, apparently.
