Alan Stott, aka FlashBack of Halo-Net.Com and Halo Center, has informed us that the Halo-Net site will begin offering Halo merchandise at a new shop... possibly as early as July first, their site reports.

Between now and Christmas, the Halo-Net Shop will get full up of Halo accessories to stick, show and play with.
Available first will be the Halo T-Shirts which will come free with a Halo Sticker (also available seperately).
We will be selling everything for Halo except... Halo
Well... Bungie wouldn't let us, more profits for the new Bungie Store I'd guess.
The above PR statement does seem to indicate that Bungie may have communicated with them about this matter and been permissive to a degree. Will Bungie and Microsoft allow an external vendor to produce Halo merchandise? That's a question we don't yet have an answer for, pending possible confirmation or denial from Bungie Studios.
Halo-Net's claim to fame tends to be to post that they are doing something first, even if it hasn't or cannot yet be done. They are already planning for a Halo tournament at quake.halo-net.com and are making plans for a Robotech-related map effort. In their favor, they no longer appear to make the questionable statement that they were the first Halo gaming group in existence. We'll bring you more as it unfolds.
