A sharp-eyed Darkman (yes, yes, you're a legend) posted on the HBO forum with a link to ZDNEt's Gamestock Halo report.
Xbox.IGN.Com has slapped up a brief recap of Halo's history, leading up to Gamestock today. Despite it being listed as a preview, there is no new information and a good deal of quoting and linking to other articles, but it is still worthwhile to read. It also includes the same nine shots we've seen from Gamestock today.
Along with Gamestock has come an update to the XBox site. And along with the update to the XBox site has come an amusing homage to Halo. In the links on the side of the page is this one:
Follow the links, and you wind up on the Halo information page, which contains six new screenshots, four of which are also at Shacknews, and two of which are unique.
And there was much rejoicing.
Kudos to Mumbles and ax, who both pointed out a set of new Halo pictures at Shacknews. While 5 of the 6 pages of shots are a mixture of old released screens and shots from previous Halo movies, the third page of screenshots is something every Halo fan needs to see.
Kudos to Circumflex, who pointed out a new Halo movie at the Gamestock site. For those of you without Flash, you will find that you cannot get to the movie. Fear not, for Circ has provided you (and I) with direct link to it.
Too much information!
Daily Radar has sent out their XBox newsletter, and at the top of their list is Halo. A few excerpts that may prove common in coming days:
After seeing Halo, the world looks uglyPut simply, Halo is the most gorgeous shooter you've ever seen...
This game could redefine what we expect from shoot-em-ups forever.
The new Halo update is up, this week at Haloplayers!
