HBO spotted a thread in IGN's forum that links to a new Halo video. The video is quite large, weighing in at 42 MB and it doesn't have sound, but it does show some new and interesting footage. Go ahead and download it, but make sure you have QuickTime installed.

According to Telefragged, it looks like V-E is one of the first major mainstream gaming sites to review a completed copy of Halo, and to say they like what they see is a massive understatement.

Matt Soell posted over in HBO's forum saying that Halo has been certified and has gone Golden Master. As of right now, the manufacturing company is printing many, many Halo discs. Congratulations to Bungie on finally completing the project.

The Official Xbox Magazine has a review of Halo in its latest issue. Overall, they were very impressed, giving Halo a solid 9.5 out of 10 score. You can download the full review over at Funky J's Hotline server, which is located at 139.78.86.54. Kudos to HBO for catching this tidbit first.

Battleground: Halo posted news about a new poll at xbox.ign.com; readers are being asked to rate the 25 hottest games , released or as-yet unreleased. Halo is on the list, along with many other titles for several different platforms, including the PC, Xbox, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance and GameCube (no mention of the Mac).

Eric Trautmann answered a few questions over at HBO about the upcoming Halo prequel novel-- among the tidbits was the fact that Cortana will be one of four points of view presented in the book. The identity of at least some of the other three apparently constitutes a spoiler. Oh, yeah... and there might be one or two Marathon references...
