Louis Wu posted over at HBO that Edge Magazine has given Halo a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. Halo is only the fourth game ever to receive such a rating from that publication. Note: The current issue with the review in it is not yet online.

There's a Halo review up at Invisible Dream now, and like many of the other reviews, the pros and cons are the same: the graphics and sounds are great, missing netplay is a sore spot. They also weren't nuts about how weapons and vehicles were used, feeling there should have been more vehicular combat, as well as greater variety:

Joe Staten, cinematic master of all things Bungie, dropped a couple coppers in the coffer over at HBO regarding a note in their Halo Review; it seems that while most in-engine cinematics do accurately keep track of what's gone on in the environment around you, the weapon the Chief is holding isn't one of them:

Johnny Marvelpants pointed out in our very own (offtopic) forum that Halo got another mention in today's Penny Arcade cartoon. In addition, it rated a mention in their news:

GameKult has reviewed Halo. Of course, you'll need to read French to understand it. HBO has reported that they liked it, except for the lack of bots and gave it a 9 out of 10 overall rating. I'll take their word for it!

Louis Wu of HBO has written a Halo review of his own. While you might expect the man behind one of the largest Halo sites online to be a bit biased, it's actually a very honest review. Louis Wu wasn't afraid to criticize what needed to be criticized and at the same time, he praised what needed to be praised. Since we all know what's good, here's an excerpt from the review that conveys a couple of the cons of Halo:

Deimos of Subnova has reported that the bungie.net site has updated with information about an upcoming Q&A with Jason Jones.

Here's how it will work:

Bungie's own Community Guy, Matt Soell, has been interviewed on VoodooExtreme on how it feels now that Halo is finally finished. They cover lots of topics, from the visuals to the fans' expectations, not to mention the challenges of making an FPS game's controls feel natural on a console:

XboxAddict has put up a page summarizing what's in issue #2 of OXM, due out in January. And although it's got a Halo trailer, it doesn't have a demo or any mention of the rumored add-on that Matt Soell recently denied existed. So this rumor was vapor from day one, apparently.

The Halo Strategy Guide at IGN has had the last three chapters added. Thanks to Louis Wu at HBO, who points out that the easter egg in the game for finishing on Legendary difficulty is not included in the walkthrough.

Xbox.com, the official Xbox site, has posted a short Meet Bungie Studios feature as well as an Overview of the Mjolnir Armor from Halo.
