Yesterday's bTV broadcast was a little difficult to make out for many of use who viewed it live, and Bungie apologizes that the archived copy won't be available until a later date. However, Bungie did promise higher-bandwidth streaming from now on for those of us who have something better than 56K dialup connections.
The Gamelinks Network posted a new Halo preview at their site. There are one or two minor inaccuracies but it is a good article for anyone who has been on a desert island for the last six months. (Yes, there are people in the world who haven't yet heard of Halo - spread the word! ;-)They mention the still-uncertain possibility for voice-communication, and that indigenous life may play an important role in some parts of the game.
Steve Jobs' keynote address has come and gone. Nothing quite so earth-shattering as what we saw at MWNY six months ago. Jobs has shortened his title from Interim CEO to just CEO (We congratulate him... it did seem inevitable with Apple's continued success in various areas) and announced that MacOS X will tentatively be coming out by Summer of 2000.As Marathon's Story and HBO have reported, it looks like Matt Soell and Alex Seropian have switched places in the bTV schedule.
Today is the day that MWSF opens. Steve Job's live keynote address has just begun. Also, those of you who are able to slack at school or at the office a little more should make sure to attend the bTV broadcast later this afternoon. Here's today's schedule:
An auspicous beginning, eh? Well, I've already managed to mangle my first day on the job. Bear with me until I gain some familiarity with Ferr's special tools, okay guys? At least he won't (hopefully) see this for a few days. ;-)
I suppose I can't look any more foolish for saying that I consider it an honor to collaborate with Ferrex, and to be even more empowered (heh) to serve the Bungie fan community that I've come to enjoy so much. Let me know where I can improve things, and toss us those tidbits that other devoted Bungiefen should be aware of. TTFN!
