ax on RHL pointed us to a new Myth III feature at pc.ign.com focusing on character animations in Myth III:
Matt Soell has posted at HBO informing fans that there will not be a HALO update this week:
Most of the team is not here today. We'll be doing some final testing (using DVDs on commercial hardware) next week - assuming that goes well, Halo will GM then.In the meantime, there is a launch party to plan, and cool new web stuff to test, and content to write. Those of us on the Online Team won't stop to catch our breath until after the Halo Launch Party at the very earliest.
27 MB of new zip-archived HALO screenshots are available at the XBox Japan site. Geez... this should certainly satisfy anyone craving new HALO material to drool at. Thanks, HBO.
Subnova has reported that Marathon Resurrection is now at beta 1.1. Marathon Resurrection is a Marathon -> Unreal Tournament total conversion that has been under way for nearly two years now, which saw its initial public release a few months ago and was quite strongly welcomed by die-hard Marathoners. In the new release, two new game modes have been added: King of the Hill and Team Deathmatch.
The old site will still be gonzo for three more days now.
Well, I've just gotten the news from Fractalus. The box won't be back up to snuff until Monday, now, as he couldn't finish the job before getting on the plane to New York. (He had a prior commitment to attend to) He'll be back in Florida come Monday to get things squared away.Hrm... Florida... New York...anthrax.... Naaaaah!
Michael Yanovich of Inside Mac Games has previewed Myth III after playing it for a 14 hour period. The response is overwhelmingly positive; Yanovich describes Myth III as the best parts of Myth I and II on steroids . He describes the single player scenario as 'varied', 'strong', and 'solid'. In the portion of the article that details stand-out moments, it confirms that Mumbo Jumbo has reintroduced carpet bombing into the Myth series.
Check out Andrew Meggs' .plan. He quite simply states:
Two word: release candidate .
This means that it's very soon almost close done for Myth III. It actually looks like Mumbo Jumbo will hit its original release date: November 2001.
Thanks, MythVillage.
