Uriel notes that Microsoft in Germany is apparently unable to provide Halo 2 Limited Editions to all those who preordered, and are resorting to airlifting UK versions in to cover the shortfall. Thanks Louis Wu. Editor's Note: The item seems to indicate that at the very least, versions of the game primarily in English may in fact be multilingual. Might then even be subtitled?
Frankie at Bungie.net has posted up what looks like the first part of a multipart series called the Bungie Guide to Game Modes; the first looks at what must be Frankie's favorite mode, Swords. This one is particularly interesting in that it lets drop a minor bit of info about Campaign mode, in that it seems Plasma Swords still will evaporate after some period of time in that mode, in contrast to multiplayer.
Over at Halo.fr there's an item that says a company called Exequo, that does localization work for Microsoft, has denied responsibility for the Halo 2 leak, saying that they never actually put a hand on a copy of Halo 2. Wolfy over at Sector 7 has posted up the winners of this year's Rockets on Prisoner video contest; top honors went to FTC #13 by XboxOttawa, which won for best movie and best screenplay. Mike Miller, Pico and Athol Productions also won awards.
Over at HBO, mnemesis posted that the Bungie Store is now accepting preorders for three Halo 2 figures: the Brute, the Master Chief, and the Warthog. Stock should ship after November 9. Each figure is $14.99.

Major Nelson's blog, Random Thoughts, today says that Microsoft is getting reports that XBL users with modded Xboxes are using them to cheat at certain online games, notably in Project Gotham Racing 2, where they are driving modified cars to gain an advantage.
Nelson promises that "additional security measures" have been initiated to keep these users off XBL.
Xbox.com has added two more parts to their Halo 2 Readiness Guide. Part 2 is on the Haloverse, and Part 3 includes tips from beta testers on playing the game.
Wired News has an article about the I Love Bees alternate reality game. Despite a few inaccuracies, such as calling the Beast the first ARG (it wasn't) and saying that all six main characters come from 2552 (they don't, that's when Halo takes place) it does a good job of summarizing what ILB is, why people find it interesting, and how it connects to Halo 2; the game is scheduled to end on November 9.
